AS Description: Various issues are involved in family and probate courts, child custody evaluations, visitations requests, sex offender assessment, insanity outcomes and challenges with capital sentencing. Research suggests various issues can connect to biological risk factors which are connected to criminality throughout an individual’s life. It is best to establish a foundation of understanding these biological risk factors intertwined with the basic tenants of forensic psychology. An analysis of the text material and the following article will provide the much-needed introductory foundation into understanding consultations with criminal courts.

AS Instructions: Read through the article by Berryessa (2017) (in this unit’s Readings) which discusses biological risk factors for criminality. After reading the article, create a summary of the article, your personal thoughts of the article and connections to what you have learned throughout this module. Create your response in a word document with a minimum of 550-word count to connect to all required components. Include your reference citation at the end of your response, which includes the text and the article in APA format.

Write a 1000-1500-word essay addressing each of the following points. Be sure to completely answer all the questions for each bullet point. There should be two main sections, one for each bullet below. Separate each section in your paper with a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper.

Support your ideas with at least three (3) sources using citations in your essay. Make sure to cite using the APA writing style for the essay. The cover page and reference page in correct APA do not count towards the minimum word amount. Review the rubric criteria for this assignment.
